Slow down. Speed up.

Alright, just like many part-time independent filmmakers, we slowed down. BUT! We are still moving. We had a lot of success with our casting and still have more to do, we have the film completely outlined shot by shot, and we are getting ready to storyboard.
Please hang in there with us. We hope to provide a lot more updates than we have.

By the way. The film we collaborated on with Gravity One is almost complete. You can check out the trailer at www.95ers.com.

Auditioning Madness

Well, we had our first round of auditions last week and we did find a few gems. This is not my favorite part of the process. There is a definite dividing line between excellent and mediocre. And where did the professionalism go? I don't mean to vent, well, yes I do. I mean, just come in, be pleasant, do your thing and go. Spare me the theatrics! Ha! Ya, I just said that. Seriously, we saw some great people and I am quite sure one or two have a real shot at kicking A on this project.

Next week we will be auditioning at McCarty Talent. We haven't worked with them for some time now. Cross your fingers. We will be holding open auditions soon. We have a stack of headshots to go through which is very awesome. This film is all about the acting. This is where our budget is taking the dent. We know how to get just about everything else for next to nothing, but this time we are looking for great performances.

WARNING. TANGENT. I have to admit that blogging, podcasting, facebooking, twittering, telegraphing and etching in stone do take up a lot more time than we thought. Please be patient, we all have full time jobs for Pete's sake. Oops. Excuse me. You guys have been great. We have had lots of fans join our facebook page and we're getting quite a few hits on our site. Thank you for your interest and support. We promise to be better. We just bought a great little camera (Flip Mino HD) to shoot behind the scenes videocasts.

That's the update for now.

Go beyond cool.

Pre-Production Begins

The script is finalized and pre production has begun! In the next few weeks we will be rolling out information on casting, crew and shooting schedules. This film will most likely be shot over the course of 3 or 4 weekends to keep the days short and the energy up. We are going to pull out the big guns on this one. We have romantic scenes, comedic elements, and a killer fight scene. We have to be extra sharp to pull this off and we will be counting on our good friends in the industry to help. Stay tuned for more...

SandBox Script - 1st Draft is done!

This morning I awoke to the chime of email on my phone next to my bed. I was overjoyed to see a message from Tom. The script was done! I rushed to my computer to print out the attachment. Each scene leaped off the page in fantastic form. We are so excited about this project. It has mystery, suspense, action and humor. We will be posting bits of the script online for you to preview. I just can't help thinking that this is going to be awesome to make. Nice job Tom!
